I always thought and I will always think that sport should be completely deregulated, that the same idea of enforcing anti-doping is pure idiocy and that anti-doping is not the only one, but it's the star of modern witch-hunts. I don't care if Lance doped or not; if he did, he was right to do it. I stand for him and I always will; I have always been a defender of civil liberties, and I think that everyone should be able to do what he/she wants with his/her own life. I don't understand how can people believe that it's right that government agencies spend tax payers money to prosecute people, probing their bloods, their urines and any useful biological sample to achieve a humiliating control over their lives. Officially, the invoked reason is to prevent “cheating”, but in my country (and, I believe in USA as well), it's against the law to use banned substances also when the user isn't an athlete, but, may be, just a recreational exerciser, or an aesthetically oriented user. IMHO, this is the best evidence that, as in any witch-hunt, the real purpose is the control of people lives, the pure exercise of power and dominance. Long glory to Lance Armstrong.
