Many shops will not allow customers the use of their toilet. Many state they are not insured or is not safe for customers to enter back shop areas. However many people can be caught short and need to use a toilet and don't care about insurance or safety in many cases if allowed to use toilets you are normally shown the way by a member of staff.

I personally have a medical condition which means if I need to use toilet, recently in a B&M store where I have used the toilet in the past I was refused, the manager stated it was unsafe and would not let me use toilet also stating there is nothing in law to say I could use it.

There needs to be a change in law that if a customer needs to use a toilet whilst in a shop they should be allowed. There is an ancient Scottish law that states if someone asks to use your toilet you cannot refuse. The same should be in force in shops and stores. WHAT do They Want us to do WET ourselves?

Please sign to make a government ruling/law that customers must be allowed the use of shop store toilet if the need arises. Many people have underlying medical problems.

All shops have toilets for staff use. All we are asking is if the need and urgency arises for a customer to use a toilet please allow them to.

The Allow customers the use of shop toilets petition to Government was written by John Chalmers and is in the category Human Rights at GoPetition.
