Informed by the Baltimore City School Board. We, Alumni of Walbrook High School, have been recently notified by the
Baltimore City School Board that Walbrook Senior High School has
discarded priceless memorabilia, per the request of the current school
principal. This decision was made approximately two to three years ago; yet,
none of the alumni were notified before the artifacts were discarded. As proud
Walbrook alumni, we hate to see lasting evidence of our cherished years
simply tossed away without regard to the participants’ attachment to the
items. We are signing the petition as a request that in the future, alumni be
notified of plans to discard or displace school memorabilia. We present this
united front as a way to remind ourselves of the resiliency fostered in
Walbrook High School students. We ask that further plans to dismantle the
legacy of past and present students be made public to the alumni community,
alumni association and faculty via the Walbrook Warrior Alumni Association.
We also ask that consideration be made to recoup anything lost such as
monetary funds for the Alumni Association.
