The US Sony Playstation 3 does not work with 50hz Blu-ray content, neither do US Sony Blu-ray players. Sony TVs are also not compatible with 50hz content.
European TV programs are normally shot/mastered at 25p/50i or sometimes 50p. To be able to watch TV programs shot in Europe, correctly, at the correct frame rate, needs compatibility with 50hz, like Sony provide in Europe, but not in the USA.
We, the undersigned, ask Sony (USA) to add 50hz compatibility (though firmware updates) to their US Playstation 3, their US Blu-ray players, and their US HDTVs so they allow 50hz content to be played back at the correct frame rate in the US, and to make any new US media playback devices and TVs compatible with 50hz content.
