1. Children use Tiktok and has a great influence in them. Also, it concerns they security because of the Tiktok's young user-base. The Privacy Policy for Younger Users still permits TikTok to share information about young users with its “corporate group” and “service providers”.
2. Tiktok's Chinese Connection - According to Christian Stewart on Medium.com, TikTok’s data collection isn’t anything out of the ordinary for social media platforms. One of the biggest drivers for peoples’ concerns is that TikTok is owned by a Chinese company called ByteDance, which is based in Beijing.
The concern is that any data that is stored or processed in China is subject to state-sponsored surveillance. TikTok users around the world are sharing their location data and other behavioral information with the app, and that’s why people are concerned. The Chinese government could be using the data that TikTok collects to “spy on” people around the world.
Chinese data laws allow any branch of the Chinese government to potentially access and view your TikTok activity. TikTok claims that it does not store user data in China, but there is very little transparency into how TikTok actually works.

application.
Tik-Tok app is full of Vulgarity, Cheep entertainment and also exposing users to obscenity, cyberbullying and cringes. This Chinese owned application is serious threat to security and personal data as the application owners themselves claim that they collect information about the device you use to access the Platform, including the IP address, unique device identifiers, model of your device, your mobile carrier, time zone setting, screen resolution, operating system, app and file names and types, key-stroke patterns or rhythm patterns.” The data security is a big concern as we really do not know who is using this data and for what purpose, which can bring unforeseen repercussions
Teenagers, youth and children are becoming addicted to Tik Tok App, the future of the youngsters and mindset of the children are spoiled. The content shared on this application is completely illogical and has no productive value except despicable and vulnerable outcomes. We can understand the gravity of psychological impact this application is posing with the fact that few children have even gone to a level of committing suicide. When the innocent minds have an access to such application they fail to differentiate between reality and the cyber content, which can make them confused and paralyze their decision making ability. This app can be misused even by human trafficking mafia and anti-national elements .
Apart from psychological issues there are financial aspect of Tik-Tok also where we are losing valuable reserve currency without any productive advantage. The hunger for popularity among individuals is propelling them to spend on advertisements which are paid in foreign currency.
We request to take immediate action and block the usage of this application in the Philippines.
