Battlefield 1942 and expansions: Free public release

As Battlefield 1942 PC is heading towards its tenth anniversary, we encourage EA/DICE to release for free, the game and it's expansions. We feel that such a release would not only benefit the players by unifying the expansions to actually become playable online, but would be seen as something that could be 'given back' to the community from EA.
Release would entail at minimum:
Free public release of the BF1942 expansions The Road to Rome and Secret Weapons of WWII.
Copy protection removal for the expansions, The Road to Rome and Secret Weapons of WWII.
The preferable release would consist of:
Copy protection removal for BF1942, The Road to Rome and Secret Weapons of WWII.
Public release of BF1942, The Road to Rome and Secret Weapons of WWII
And If possible, a source code release for further modification and unification of the above expansions.
