The North Lakes Murrumba Downs area is just over 20Km north of Brisabane city and is expericancing massive growth.
With major building projects, housing estates and people moving into the areas it is on track to be a massive towncentre. Limiting this is the fact that Telstra does not support ADSL expansion into the area and has no plans despite the massive growth and Optus has no infrastructure.
The alternative they offer is wireless 3G which is not really cost effective or comparable given the drop out rates and connection speeds, it is not true broadband.
I would like to propose that we petition Oputs to install infrastructure for ADSL in the area and that Peter Dutton MP for Dickson take a more aggresive stance on this issue.
The residents of North Lakes and Murrumba Downs are entitled to high speed Broadband and should not have to wait 5 yrs for the Government to do something about it.
