The world's major oil producers have hijacked the transportation idustry by having all governments clamp down on any organization which tries to put an end to every means of transport's dependency on fossil fuel. The suppression of the EV-1 electric car built by GM is the most scandalous example of this.
The buying out by Exxon of the battery system which ran these cars and the electric Toyota RAV of which there are still several hundred running in the USA proving the technology is valid is another similar scandal. In view of the dangers to the planet of climate change mainly attributable to Fossil fuel, I propose a global petition to force governments to eliminate the Patent protection on these and other green fuel systems for the benefit of mankind. Big Oil can invest in these systems themselves and stoip poisoning the planet.
We, the undersigned, call on the world's governments to pass legislation abolishing all private and corporate patent protection and copyright laws and legislation on valid known working electric motor vehicle propulsion systems, including electric motors and batteries known to viably make motor vehicles run.
The survival of the planet is more important than the economic greed of the mega corporations which are poisoning the planet with fossil fuels and the artificial dependance they have created for all countries.
