Bring the London Bike Hire scheme to Brixton and Clapham!

The London Cycle Hire scheme currently covers Vauxhall, Kennington and Oval (and planned for Stockwell from 2013) but does not cover Brixton or Clapham.

In fact, only around 50 of the 335 docking stations are
currently located south of the river.

As Brixton and Clapham residents, we want the opportunity to use the cycle hire scheme in the same way we would if we lived 1 mile north of the river.

This campaign is being backed by local Labour councillors and Val Shawcross, Labour Assembly Member for Lambeth and Southwark.

Extensions to the Cycle Hire Scheme would ease pressure on the very busy Northern & Victoria tube lines that run through Clapham and to Brixton.

We are therefore calling on the Mayor of London to extend the Barclay's Cycle Hire Scheme to Brixton and Clapham at the earliest possible opportunity.
