Wij inwoners, residenten, personen die in Brussel werken en hier op bezoek willen komen vinden dat:
het niet langer kan dat de Brusselse politie operationeel blijft binnen zes gescheiden politiezones, in het licht van de recente aanslagen is dit wellicht niet de enige noodzaak maar wel een essentieel onderdeel van een geïntegreerd veiligheidsbeleid
wij betwijfelen dat een unificatie van de zones afbreuk zou doen aan de praktijk van ‘nabijheid’ ( wijkagenten, lokale commissariaten)
wij durven te veronderstellen dat een unificatie niet ingegeven is door welke communautaire agenda dan ook, uiteraard blijft de taligheid van het corps een voorwaarde
wij dagen de politiek partijen in Brussel, in de gewesten en federaal uit om valide tegen-argumenten tegen de unificatie uit te brengen
wij vragen dat de bevoegdheid over het optreden, de organisatie en de missie van de politie op het grondgebied van de Brusselse regio overgedragen wordt aan het gewest. Mogelijks komt deze daardoor onder rechtstreekse bevoegdheid van de minister-president dan wel onder de bevoegdheid van een ter zake beslagen minister van het gewest.

Elke ongemotiveerde weigering om op deze eis/uitnodiging in te gaan zullen wij beschouwen als een blijk van onverantwoordelijkheid. Wij gaan een debat niet uit de weg.

Nous citoyens, résidents, gens qui travaillent à Bruxelles et qui veulent visiter cette ville exigeons que,
- la police de Bruxelles ne sera plus opérationnel dans six zones distinctes
- à la lumière des récentes attaques, ceci n’est peut-être pas la seule nécessité, mais fait sans doute partie essentielle d'une sécurité intégrée
-nous doutons que l'unification des zones affecterait la pratique du principe de proximité (agents de quartier, commissariats)
-nous osons redouter que l'unification serait motivées par un agenda communautaire que ce soit. Bien sûr, la diversité linguistique du corps demeure une condition préalable
-nous défions les partis politiques à Bruxelles, dans les régions et fédérales pour fournir des contre-arguments valables contre l'unification
-nous demandons que la compétence sur la présence, l’organisation et la mission de la police sur le territoire de la région bruxelloise soit remis à la région. Sous l'autorité du ministre-président soit sous celle d’un ministre approprié.

Tout refus injustifié de répondre à cette demande / appel, sera considéré comme un signe de l'irresponsabilité. Un débat préalable est toujours possible.

We citizens, residents, people who work in Brussels and want to visit this town ask
that the Brussels police no longer remains operational within six separate police zones:
- in the light of the recent attacks, this is probably not the only necessity but an essential part of an integrated security policy
-we doubt that the unification of the zones would affect the practice of proximity (police officers, local supervisory)
-we dare to assume that a unification is not motivated by any hidden ‘communautaire’ agenda whatsoever, of course, the linguistic diversity of the corps remains a prerequisite
-we challenge the political parties in Brussels, in the regions and federal to deliver valid counter-arguments against the unification
-we ask that jurisdiction over the action, the organisation and the mission of the police is handed over the authority of the Brussels region. Possibly under the authority of an appropriate minister or under the direct responsibility of the Prime Minister (ministre président region).

Any unjustified refusal to respond to this demand / call we will be seen as a sign of irresponsibility. We will not avoid any debate.
