The Surf Coast Aquatic Leisure Centre Action Group (SCALCAG) is a collection of passionate community members who are committed to the realisation of a public swimming pool/leisure centre complex for Torquay, the greater Surf Coast and surrounding areas.
One of our most immediate concerns is to garner commitment from the councillors on the Surf Coast Shire. We are hoping to create not only community awareness and interest, but also to initiate a solid sign of official support for the swimming pool and leisure centre this community needs.
Surf Coast Leisure Centre Action Group believes that the construction and operation of a swimming and leisure facility will generate significant health and other community benefits to all members of the local and surrounding areas.
We the undersigned request that the Surf Coast Shire do all that they possibly can, to ensure that a Community Aquatic Leisure Centre is built in Torquay in the near future.
