Compassionate Allowances for Disabled Benefits

Social Security has an obligation to provide benefits quickly to applicants whose medical conditions are so serious that their conditions obviously meet disability standards.

On June 11, 2014, a report from an Echocardiogram, performed at National Jewish Health stated "When compared to the report of the previous study of 07/23/2013. Estimated right atrial pressure has decreased from 8 to 3, however, estimated right ventricular systolic pressure has increased from 25 to 53 mmHg.

Michael Husted applied for Social Security Disability benefits in January 2013, having been employed and having paid into Social Security all his working years of employment, until he was advised to quit working by multiple treating physicians. Michael still awaits a hearing date and will lose access to health care services at National Jewish Health on July 23 2014, despite his worsening conditions.
