Develop a Newport Terrace Dog Park

Being that Newport Terrace has an extremely high volume of dog owner residents and currently has no area for dogs to go, exercise, play and socialize, our goal in signing this petition is to establish a fenced in, off-leash dog park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife.

We, the citizens of Newport Terrace would like to develop a beautiful, well-maintained space open to all dog lover residents who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions. We are viewing this park as a community project, designed to satisfy the needs of dog-owners and non-dog owners alike. Where, not only the dogs, but also the people of the community can socialize and enjoy yet another attraction within the Newport Terrace limits.

We also hope to encourage dog events like a frisbee catch to come to the new park, set up a Mutt Mitt corporate sponsorship program to create monthly revenue or a monthly access fee which may help offset any of the costs involved with the upkeep of the area.
