In Aug 2006, the NH State Supreme Court ruled that ballots of the type used in the NH Democratic Presidential primary were unfair.
They were unfair because the names were listed in alphabetical order, thereby confering an advantage/disadvantage to those candidates listed first/last. This advantage can be of order 6-10% on lists containing 12 names; there were 21 names on the recent NH Democratic Presidential ballot, and a 2% margin seperated first and second place.
The full opinion of the court is available here: http://www.courts.state.nh.us/supreme/opinions/2006/akins092.pdf
If the DNC changes the rules of the game halfway through the election cycle so as to make it more fair, We the undersigned petition that the DNC also require a re-vote in the state of NH, since that primary ballot was unfair in the opinion of the NH State Supreme Court.
