“A Microtransaction is basically a mini payment option given in video games, mostly in games that are free”.
“In video games, a loot box is an in-game purchase consisting of a virtual container that awards players with items and modifications based on chance. Loot boxes are considered to be a type of microtransaction”.
In many newer games such as Middle Earth: Shadow of War, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (EA), Black Ops 3, Overwatch, and Injustice 2, there is a system that is being used to profit off of our youth. Some games handle this better than others like Injustice 2 and Overwatch which don't give you advantages when fighting/shooting (gameplay) but instead only give you cosmetics/visuals/costumes. However, others like Black Ops 3, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (EA), and Middle Earth:Shadow of War offer fighting/shooting (gameplay) advantages to those willing to pay more money in a game they already paid for as well as exploit our youth and use them for profit.

Well sorry to burst your bubble but gamers have been doing it legally constantly right under your nose. That's right, the thing Congress has made illegal, gambling is now being paraded around in games like it's a festival. You know what the worst part is, well, not only does this system negatively impact adults, it also reaches the most widespread demographic of gamers, kids and teens. But wait, it gets worse, not only should these systems be illegal, they are also dangerous to youth in that they stimulate the very same part of the brain that cocaine, and gambling does. That is why we need to fight against this and let everyone else know so we can protect our children and end this evil corruption of the game industry.
