The United States Department of Defense, currently have rules and regulations that are discriminatory in nature towards "Honorably Discharged American Disabled Veterans".
The discrimination which is referred to, is a matter of exclusion and can be located in manual; DoD 4515.13-R, Air Transportation Eligibility, Chapter C2.2. "Eligible Passengers"; originally written in November 1994 and subsequently changed; Change 3, on April 9, 1998.
We, the undersigned, known as the "Citizens of New York State", do here by request that the represenatives of the US House of Congress, and the US Senate; specifically the "Governmental Affairs Committee" which oversees the Department of Defense, to enact legislation to change language for the rules/regulations located within DoD 4515.13-R, Air Transportation Eligibility, Chapter C2.2. "Eligible Passengers".
The requested language change, is to add another "Subsection" to said manual; which will be located on page number 48, and will be Subsection C2.2.17 "All Honorably Discharged American Disabled Veterans". C2.2.17.1 Any and all Honorably Discharged American Disabled Veterans, both Officers and Enlisted personnel, shall be afforded the privelidges of air travel as all other eligible passengers. The duty personnel for said air transport shall assist these passengers as indicated in Chapter C1.3.7. Disabled Passengers.
