Essential oils in school

My daughter is in the independence school district. She , like so many other kids has a hard time with focus and impulse control.

As parents we were disheartened to hear at her one month progress report that she had not met her goal for learning ( she has always been above the normal intelligence and flies threw her homework with ease ) and she is constantly making statements that she is bored, not engaged, didn't absorb what directions her teacher gave, gets up in the middle of class etc. The very next day I started using an essential oil blend for calm and focus on her.

Half way through the school day Dulci goes to the restroom and rolls the oil on her toe under her sock and shoe. A month went by the school informed me that she had a hard day, negative points and struggling. I was told in that same conversation that she could no longer use her oils and they were refused to her that day. They told me I needed a dr note .I complied . The next day I was told she still could not use them because they were not FDA approved ( like Chapstick , lotion etc) so she was banned from them again. They broke my heart with this news, that same day I received a progress report card of the last 30 days that showed Dulci was almost 200 points above her previous mark, she is now on the same level she is expected to be at the end of May to graduate kindergarten ( on November 11th).

There are oils to protect against the flu/ colds, help stomach aches, receive separation anxiety , focus etc . Many schools are diffusing oils on test days and watching the results soar and attendance is up. This petition isn't me being a champion on a soap box for essential oils / holistic care . This is a parent wanting her child to be properly taken care while she is away from me for 7 hours a day . To fight to insure her mental , physical and emotional health so she can benefit from a great learning environment.

Let's give our children every opportunity for success. Please help my daughter get what she needs to be successful. I plan on taking her reports, all my research and articles and this petition to the superintendent.
