Kim Davis has done nothing wrong or against the law because of this.
Despite warnings of legal liability and sanctions, Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis is refusing to issue marriage licenses after the U.S. Supreme Court extended a right to marry to same sex couples.
We, the people of Rowan County, ask Governor Steve Beshear to excuse Kim Davis and the County Clerks office of issuing any marriage license.
The Oath of Office for the County Clerk and the General Clerical Duties says nothing on the matter of issuing marriage licenses in Kentucky, therefore she cannot be held responsible.
