Registration on Part 1 of the UK Ships Registry permit ownership by none resident UK citizens provided that they have a UK resident representative.
The petitioners call for the same terms to be extended to those registering under Part 3. They further request that the licence term be extended to 10 years, as it is under other jurisdictions.
We the undersigned call on the UK Government to extend to those registered under Part 3 on the UK Ships Registry the same terms as afforded to those registering under Part 1 ie, that UK residency be not required for UK Citizens but that, as in Part 1, a UK resident representative be permitted.
