Fight for an Adapted Home for Jamie Spivey

Jamie is a 6 year old boy with cerebral palsy. We are starting this petition to get him the home adaptions he deserves for an independent life.

Having a larger home with adaptions will give Jamie independence as he can't have his electric chair in his current home due to space.

He cannot get his wheelchair in the bathroom so has to use a komode in his own bedroom. He would be able to wear pants rather than nappys as he is able to say when he needs to go but according to one council worker he can stay in the nappys!

It currently takes kate 15 minutes to put Jamie on the toilet and that's not inc the time it takes for Jamie to go into the lift and go upstairs!!

There is no room for a hoist in the bathroom which is what Jamie desperately needs, to get him in and out of the shower and on and off the toilet. Jamie currently cannot have a bath only showers due to this

There is no room for kate to change Jamie in the bathroom so she has to shower him and carry him to her room and change him on her bed.

Jamie desperately needs space in the home for his much needed physio therapy. He will then be able to join in with the rest of the family in the home.

His sister as a teenager now needs her space and also her own independence, she needs her own proper room.

A perfect house has been found but there is a real threat of losing it due to council budgets.

PLEASE HELP US TO HELP JAMIE AND HIS FAMILY GET THE HOUSE THEY SO DESPERATELY NEED.
