For those of you who have played the game Morrowind, you may have noticed that there is a problem with the mercantile skill in the game: As your mercantile skill rises, the amount of money you can get for selling an item after bartering goes down. Despite the many complaints that have been sent to Bethesda Softworks about this bug in the past year, this bug has still not been fixed in any of the patches released to date. Responses to e-mails are often condescending, explaining that the person complaining doesn't understand the fairly basic concepts behind bartering. This petition is intended to show Bethesda the extent of the problem, and get them to look at this easily fixable problem.
We the undersigned request that the code governing the bartering system in the game "Morrowind" be scrutinized, analyzed and updated, in order to fix the bug referred to at http://www.elderscrolls.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB1&Number=1210018&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=1&fpart= in The Elder Scrolls Forum. This problem has been reported on many occasions over the past year, and has been rudely ignored. By continuing to ignore this easily fixable problem, Bethesda Softworks risks losing substantial sales on "Bloodmoon" and any other future expansions and sequels to "Morrowind".
