Fund The Emergency Universal Business Income for Canadians (EUBI)
The Canadian government must legislate a tax funded, tax free national emergency basic income fund for times of crisis and emergency measures such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
The requirement is for the Canadian Government to reroute 1 percentage point of current GST and 1% of all corporate and personal income tax to the fund. The fund is transparent and grows daily and cannot be triggered by any government for any other reason than emergency measures situations such as the current COVID-19 pandemic or financial market crash.
We ask that you the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance to request that they urgently facilitate discussions in parliament for Emergency Universal Basic Income (EUBI) which is an emergency pool of income derived by taxation, donation, and other economic inputs that is on reserve for emergency measures situations such as the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic. The fund will be transparent and 100% recoup-able by Canadians during times of crisis. The goal is to get to a $1250.00 monthly tax-free basic income provided during the course of the next national crisis event. The allocation and distribution of money will be within 24-48 hours of a national emergency.
