#Bus transportation for Hornsb-Dunlap Elementary students living in Austin's Colony
Target:
Bernard Blanchard-Del Valle ISD superintendent
Region:
United States of America

Starting the school year of 2010-2011 Hornsby-Dunlap Elementary has informed parents that there will no longer be bus services for Austin's Colony children.

This has caused traffic congestion starting at 6am to 9am for both the Austin's Colony roads as well as 969. Congestion continues to be a nuisance from 2pm to 4pm. It takes over an hour for parents to pick up their children and hot weather conditions are not appropriate for the very young to be walking up to 2 miles and most parents have infants they have to walk with as well.

This is causing many, both those who have children attending and those that don't, to run extremely late for work also.

I am asking you to sign this petition to put school buses back into service for Austin's Colony.

I am asking the superintendent to do this in the best interests of the parents, students, faculty, and those that have jobs to get to in this area. Because if we don't traffic will remain a problem eventually causing an increase in car accidents as well as increase the anger of all involved. It worked well last year and I think it will work well again.
