Get State Of Origin played at End of Season

Whilst ever the state of origin is held mid season, those teams that provide players for this comp are continuing to suffer whilst other teams who do not have players involved reap the benefits. And we don't think that is fair.

For example, the Melbourne Storm who provide the SPINE of The QLD side each year, and coming into origin sitting comfortably on the table, have now lost those 3 players and their season most probably on the line because of it. The Bulldogs sitting on top of the ladder although lucky enough to have a bye because their half back was suspended for one game, have lost Josh Morris for a good part of the season,and so to the Dragons have lost the other Morris Twin Brett, and the list goes on. Meanwhile these teams are still expected to be competitive towards other teams that have not been affected.

These clubs pay big money for these players, not so that they can play state of origin, but because they want their club to be successful, and come grand final time, who cares about who won state of origin, all we as fans care about is that our team is there, and if they are not, it is because of state of origin.

And last we as fans go to games with heavy hearts because we know that our teams have been decimated and probably have no chance of winning because our best players have been sacrificed for origin.

Why can this comp not be played at seasons end, so that if the players are unfortunate enough to sustain a serious injury as is the case with Cooper Cronk, then they have at least the off season to get better?

We as fans and Members of NRL clubs demand that the NRL take action on this and move STATE OF ORIGIN till after the grand final.
