We've all jammed ourselves on the 164 bus as it makes its way from Sutton to Morden in the morning and Morden to Sutton in the evening. There's never enough space for older people, those with disabilities or injuries, pregnant women or parents with buggies/small children. It's not just about discomfort.
It's not just about the indignation of paying through the nose for a service which fails to deliver. It's about health and safety - we deserve to travel without falling about and without falling out with our fellow passengers.
We, the undersigned, call on London Buses, and its contracted provider, Go Ahead London, to provide enough seats on the 164 route to travel in safety and with dignity.
