Goulburn Mulware Council: Dredge creek and provide better drainage of floodwaters in the eastgrove playing fields

Eastgrove residents are sick and tired of living day to day wondering when the next major flood will occur. I have just finished renovating my property the past 4 years of my life due to flood damage that could have been avoided if the council had taken action to help minimise the threat of floods by providing appropriate drainage.

The creek at the end of the playing fields in some places is not even a meter deep. If properly dredged and adequaltely maintained flood damage will not be an issue any more for any properties like it in the area. Untill you have experienced it is hard to imagine, the smells, the sights and the sheer devastation is beyond words. My house was ruined and not all the damage was covered by the insurance.

This is not a cry for pity, I am just bringing it to the communities attention and raisng an issue that I believe needs to be addressed.
