Due to the recent shooting-- in which seventeen students were killed-- I propose that we have stricter gun laws. There should be more in-depth background checks which look closely into a person's mental health-- both current and prior. Physical disabilities should also be taken into account. It should be unlawful for anyone under 21 years of age to buy or operate a gun.
We, the undersigned, call on the Congress to make it unlawful for anyone under the age of 21 to purchase, own, or operate a gun. We call on the Congress to instate background checks that look into the mental and physical disabilities that would prevent someone from safely using, owning, or purchasing a gun.
