CAERPHILLY COUNCIL PROPOSES 650 HOUSES TO BE BUILT AT GWERN Y DOMEN IN 200 ACRES OF SURROUNDING GREENBELT COUNTRYSIDE
After several decades of planning permission being refused on this magnificent green belt land, Westminster has now decided to release such green belt for future development.
There are still many of you who will be unaware of what is happening due to the "stealth" mode in which this process is conducted. So please keep checking in on this webpage as we are going to make everyone aware of the position and the objections over the coming weeks and months.
A Community Conservation Group has been formed and has been working hard to protest and appeal against this proposed housing estate being added to the Local Development Plan. We urgently need your help and support as little or no notice has been given to our objections from either the council or the developers.
We, the undersigned, call on the Welsh Government and Westminster to decline proposed planning permission on the greenbelt known as Gwern Y Domen and keep this countryside as greenbelt for the future.
