Hep Kidney cancer Treatment in Limerick

As you all well know I am now recovering from kidney cancer, thankfully, and I couldn't have got through it without the help of the great doctors and nurses in the cancer unit in the regional cancer unit Limerick.

After getting the all clear last Wednesday, I must say I couldn't thank the people in that hospital enough for their help. Then I was told by the oncologist that after JP McManus providing millions to the hospital so they could purchase a new robotic machine, so that the surgeons could provide the service of removing cancer in the kidney and bowl in the regional for the people of the mid-west region.

After getting this machine the cancer unit in Dublin don't want them to have it and are now in the process of trying to get it removed from Limerick. It's a joke and we now need to stand up and say to the dubs, mind your own business, we need these services down here.

I know most people who read this won't give a shit, let me be honest 3 months ago I wouldn't have either, but after using this service it is fantastic. You never know when u might need it, or one of your family might need it. Imagine going to Dublin for this service, the hassle of your family trying to get there to see you, after care appointments, stuck up there on your own recovering!

I had my surgery done by keyhole, as I was told in Dublin they would cut you wide open, I was back on my feet after 2 days, home in 6, full recovery in about 4 weeks now 9 weeks later back to normal, if I went to Dublin I wouldn't be back to normal so quick.

Now I have a petition which I'm looking for people to sign, before it's too late and we loose this service, I'm going to hand this into our local TD'S and have a chat with them about this issue, any good help from Michael Lowry, Séamie Morris Alan Kelly would be great.
