The Daily Telegraph has repeatedly run stories about MPs' expenses which combine to create an overall impression that MPs generally are crooks and liars.
While there have been a number of appalling examples of expense mis-claims, the tone, nature and relentless character of the Telegraph's reporting leading to a corrosive poisoning of our political atmosphere which is unjustifiable and unacceptable.
We, the undersigned, call on the staff of The Daily Telegraph to demonstrate the same sort of accountability in their use of journalistic power which they ceaselessly demand from politicians by publishing, in full and online, all the expense claims of their editorial staff.
