In order to try and change the growing controversy in the field of NCAA collegiate athletics, I, Khalil Graham, have started this petition in order to gain acceptance of the Douglas Looney reform policy.
There has been a growing controversy on the situation many current and former college athletes have been put under.
College athletes are not allowed to be paid in a system that makes millions off of them each year.
At the same time, amateurism is a genuine piece of Americana that needs to be protected at all costs.
We, the undersigned, believe that the current system is wrong in the way college athletes are treated, yet we don't think it is necessary to pay college athletes in order to create a fair system that in conducive to the well being of all parties involved.
Once signed, this petition will be given to Jim Miller, the athletic director at the University of Richmond.
