Jim Karahalios was unlawfully, undemocratically, and unjustly, ousted from the Conservative Party of Canada Leadership Race by a handful of anonymous people who did not have the power or the right to do so and have shown a complete disregard for the rule of law and the democratic rights of Party members. Jim's removal was based on lies and done in secret. We stand with Jim Karahalios. He has earned the right to run for Conservative Party leader and judgment on his campaign communications should be done at the ballot box.
We, the undersigned grassroots conservatives, call on the National Council to rein in control of our Conservative Party of Canada from the handful of un-elected and anonymous individuals who have shown a disregard for the rule of law and our democratic rights as Party members and as conservatives. We reject the unlawful and unjustified removal of Jim Karahalios from the Conservative Leadership Race, when he met all the egregious establishment requirements set upon him - $300,000 in donations and 3,000 signatures. We demand the right to a free and fair election to decide the next leader of the Conservative Party of Canada.
