Internal Investigation of Mediacom Communications' Customer Service

Over the last 12 months, I have been employed as a content creator in form of a livestream from Twitch.TV. As a streamer, I have seen many issues with the internet service provided by Mediacom. This company is not consistent in the speeds provided on the advertised website. The channel and style of work demands a large amount of data, which Mediacom claims to be capable of. Instead their poor reliability has affected my ability to create daily content, costing 3 days of income. Having contacted Customer Service at least once per month, and a rotary of Service Technicians claim that nothing is wrong, yet still having internet issues daily, with upload and download consistency. Regarding a prior instance with a technician, I insisted that the matter needs to be escalated to an engineer to end the frequent mishaps and not have another trip giving the same repetitive answers. The technician explained that his residence was in the same neighborhood, and had never experienced the problems himself, therefore just dismissing the matter since it did not directly pertain or affect him. This is unjust and dismissable due to the dramatic difference in our individual workload. Mediacom Customer Support stated they can send out another technician, once again following their standard procedure, but was unable to guarantee it would be the same tech that was here earlier that day, which once again lives in the area. Potentially, causing another lapse of income for another week. When businesses such as Mediacom have monopolized an area, and are the only available provider with the speed necessary for an individuals employment, it is unfair to those that rely on a product to perform as advertised. It is a faulty service that has not near performed to minimum standards, and has refused to make any progress or advancement towards a solution.
