I have over 10 years of experience working within undeserved communities. I recently developed an organization serving unaccompanied children and refugees. I am a student of Shaykh Hisham Kabbani, renowned islamic scholar.
After the 9/11 attack, the leader is most concerned about the spread of extremist Wahabi Islam in a region whose inhabitants have traditionally practiced a moderate and tolerant form of Sunni Islam. We are also unable to get their support in educating women and young girls and affirming to mental management, using islamic approach.
We, the undersigned, call on governments across the globe, to help in recognizing a day for orphans, beginning in 2010.
All proceeds will be used for orphans, unaccompanied and abused children. All media is invited. All participants must comply with registration and policies.
