Dear colleague,
As a fellow member of the International Studies Association, we are writing to ask for your support in securing the addition of global social policy as a new section of the ISA. While this might not be your primary area of research, we would be very grateful for your support.
According to the constitution of the ISA, we are required to submit an online petition with the names of no less than 100 ISA members in good standing, together with a statement detailing the rationale for the new section, and a recommended temporary list of officers (chair, co-chair), pending the creation of bylaws and elections of officers.
We have begun to recruit new members whose field is global social policy, but in order to get the petition and supporting materials together in time for the Governing Council's meeting in the fall, we also need your support. To this end, we are asking that you sign your name to this online petition, and pass this petition along to your colleagues who are also ISA members who might be prepared also to sign it.
