While disabled parking is available in most car parks, both public and private, it is not enforced with any sanctions.
The result of this is that many such spaces are used by able-bodied people, thus depriving the disabled of their mobility in our society.
We, the undersigned, call on Local Government to impose sanctions on able-bodied people who use disabled parking spaces.
An appeal to their better nature does not work and the disabled continue to be disadvantaged by this situation.
Able-bodied drivers should have a penalty imposed if they disregard the parking which is designated as being for disabled drivers... it is only then, they will stop!
