The governments of Canada is terminating funding for smoking cessation programs. Nicotine patches, prescription medications and other quit-smoking aids are out of reach for many British Columbia Ministry of Health Services recipients.
We the undersigned believe that if the British Columbia government truly wants everyone to quit smoking that they would not only raise the price of Tobacco, but that they would also provide smoking cessation products as part of the Ministry of Health Services.
If you have a drug addiction they pay for your treatment, it has been proven that Tobacco is harder to quit than Heroin. Why is smoking cessation treatment not provided also?
