The British government has said that it would decide to join the Euro if it is in Britain's economic interests to do so. If Britain did then she would lose her ability to set her own interest and exchange rates. Britain may also lose some control of public spending, taxation and her sovereignty in economic affairs.
Currently 73% of British businesses and 60% of the population want to keep the pound. Clearly the risks from joining the Euro greatly out weigh the benefits.
To the Members of the House of Commons: We the undersigned petition that the House take action to ensure that Britain keeps the pound sterling as the national currency.
