We, the undersigned citizens of College Park Georgia, as well as employees, visitors and parents of students at Woodward Academy, petition to have the above mentioned four-way stops and sidewalks. This corridor and the intersections are extremely dangerous. As a result of the new development in the area with the passing of speeding vehicles and increased traffic has made it even more dangerous. The lack of a pedestrian path and sufficient traffic controls could cause grievous bodily injury and destruction of property by passing vehicles for which the City of College Park could be partially liable.
We desire to be proactive and address this potential problem. To ignore the safety issues mentioned is to neglect the safety of the citizens. With that being said, we petition to have the 4 way stops and pedestrian sidewalks installed.
Citizens of College Park Georgia, as well as employees, visitors and parents of students at Woodward Academy, petition to have four-way stop traffic controls installed at the intersections of Lee Street & Hawthorne Avenue and Lee Street &Temple Avenue as well as a pedestrian side walk on Lee Street between Virginia Avenue and Princeton Avenue in Ward 3 of College Park Georgia.
