Bullying has become more and more of a problem in our public schools. Recently my autisitc child was the target of bullying. The school did not deem it bullying because it was not physical. Words hurt to. Telling a child the world would be better off without him is worse than a punch to the face.
I as not only a parent but a parent to a special needs child ask that you help us try to put an end to emotional bullying. I would like to see the same procedures followed for emotional bullying as they are for physical.
