Lift the Medicaid Waiver Freeze

Advocacy efforts are greatly appreciated. The Aged and Disabled Medicaid Waiver Program that serves nursing home eligible people, over the age of 18.

The Waiver Program has been frozen since 12/5/11. There is a waitlist that grows daily. There are people dying weekly who are waiting for help that will never come.

We understand that close to 2000 people are on the waitlist. Some of these people will never see in-home help, many have passed away while waiting for services.

Please assist our efforts in eliminating the wait list. Provider Agencies and Advocates of In-Home Care are planning a rally on April 9th at 10:00am at the Capitol Rotunda, 2nd floor. Please STAND UP, SPEAK UP and help those that are terminally ill, elderly and disabled, who at this point may be looking at a 7 year wait. How many will be alive to receive help? Please wear white when you attend the Rally.

The Governor and the Legislature need to hear our pleas. LIFT THE FREEZE.
