Students have the right to access information, communicate, and use technology responsibly as part of their education. The current mobile phone ban in Luxembourgish high schools restricts these rights and does not reflect the ways students learn, collaborate, and interact in the modern world. Mobile phones can support learning, safety, and organization if used responsibly. We believe schools should adopt policies that respect students’ rights while promoting responsible phone use.
We, the undersigned, call on Luxembourgish ministry of education to lift the mobile phone ban and adopt policies that allow responsible student use.
