Mark D. Moore, Jr 3 1/2yrs old from St Johns County Florida died in an unfenced retention pond. A little boy in Palatka, Florida also lost his life 10/29/2010 also in an unfenced retention pond at a park. The retention pond Mark died in was right outside his front door.
We, the undersigned, call on State Legislation to reform Florida Law and request a law to fence in all retention ponds in the state. That was 2 children in 3 weeks.
These fences will not bring back these children, but hopefully it will save the life of another.
Please we're begging you for a law reform. We don't want this to happen again. The loss of a child is a very heartbreaking tragedy and no parent should have to go through that, especially when there are precautions that can be taken.
