While it is a constitutional right in America, and a governed law in many other countries, despite popular belief Freedom of Speech is not a right in Australia.

To the Government
While being a constitutional right in the United States, the right to freedom of speech has not been passed as a law in Australia.
Whoever is elected, we would like you to propose a law changing this fact, within the laws already passed banning racial discrimination, etc.
Freedom of speech is already taken as granted in Australia, it is true, but this has no written or legal elements attached to it. Signed below are the signatures belonging to people who agree with this proposal.
