We are living in a new generation as most of us male students are still forced to cut a crew cut hairstyle in the school. It doesn't serve any purpose to ban long hair in school as it doesn't effect with ones education or health. Most schools internationally has already removed the rule. As a young generation it's the time where teenagers explore their own personality as there's no point keeping a strict haircut rule as a way to keep "Tidiness of an overall student". There is many long haircuts that look tidy. Some students appearances might suit those short hairstyles while some won't. Keeping a haircut that a student likes also helps with their self confidence because it makes them proud of their ownself rather than getting demotivated by their own looks. We aren't studying in a prison or a military camp. In this generation punk and rock hairstyles aren't so common and popular anymore anyways. If a haircut looks too unpleasant or horrible, the student parents should be able to inform their own child. Please think about your child's feeling and sign the petition.
We Malaysian students and parents, call on the Malaysian Secondary School's to remove this rule and allow male students to keep long hair or fashion hairstyles for the sake of the students confidence and overall appearance.
