My name is Mary. I am 23 years old and have graduated with an International studies/law Degree from the University of Sydney.

I am an extremely passionate Parramatta Eels fan and have found this season extremely difficult.

I have a few ideas of my own which I believe would make our Club a better one.

If I was hypothetically given control of the Club, today, there are several things I would do immediately.

1. I would immediately send an email to all the STH, publish the same email/letter in the paper and have a press conference thanking our fans, appreciating that the situation we are in is not the one we would like to be in and basically begging them to stick with the team at this time.

2. I would then introduce a buy one ticket, get one free for our next home game. For any tickets already purchased and for STH I would introduce an initiative, like a discount on merchanside or an initaitve at the Firehouse - again just to say thank you to those fans who have already committed themselves to the Eels this season.

3. I would recommit to the players appearing at every post home-game and have them actually stick to speak to their fans rather than skulking off into the back of the Club.

4. I would have an extremely frank discussion with the players. I would explain to them that I didn't care what their feelings were towards the coach. If the have decided that they don't like the coach - too bad. Sometimes in life we all have bosses that we don't care for, but we still have to perform. The players are not to spit the dummy and determine the future of the coach.

5. I would then ensure Kearney that he really does have the support of the board. I would also speak with him about whether he feels he has enough support in his new position. If he felt that he did not, appoint an assistant coach to help him out. I should emphasise that I am completely FOR retaining Stephen Kearney. Parramatta cannot introduce a revolving door for coaches – it not only signals that Parramatta demand instant success but it is boasts extremely poor job security for anyone wanting to enter the job.

6. I would also immediately speak to Luke Burt about his retirement plans, when he plans to retire and how I can ensure that he leaves in a dignified matter. I would also immediately speak to any other player off contract and have a frank discussion about what our plans are for the future.

7. I would then have a pizza night with all the players, an open discussion, asking them what their problem was. I would also bring in a very sad and disappointed fan to make them feel embarrassed about the performances they have been dishing out.

8. Make sure all past legends of our club feel welcome and encourage them to assist in any way possible.

I have plenty of other ideas for the future. But rest assured, I am an extremely passionate fan and my number one priority would be to act honestly and in a professional manner at all times. The fans of the Club need to be made a priority and the current attitude and performance of the team needs to turn around.
