On behalf of all GAA supporters we are asking you to take a look at our petition regarding the Louth - Meath Leinster final on the 11/07/2010. Under the circumstances of the last few moments of the game Louth should be going home with the trophy.
Unfortunately the ref broke thousands of hearts and handed Meath a trophy that they did not deserve to have!! We are not asking for Meath to hand over the trophy (which is rightly ours), all we are asking is for them to give us a replay. I mean how can anyone call themselves Leinster champions by winning like that!!! I would be ashamed.
So please consider this replay as it is nothing more than what we deserve.
On the 11th day of July 2010 a huge injustice was done. The louth GAA team was on the verge of a famous victory when it was cruelly snatched away at the hands of the referee. With only seconds to go the Meath team threw the ball into the goal, now if this was American football I could understand!!
But in GAA you can't THROW it in the goal. Amazingly nearly 50000 people saw the incident but the man that mattered (the ref) didn't! How strange! Now on behalf of all Louth supporters and all GAA supporters I urge you to sign this petition asking Meath for a replay. If they feel as strongly about GAA as we do they should do the decent thing!
I am asking not just all you Louth fans but all GAA fans to sign this petition so that the injustice can be reversed. Thank you!!!
