Students at Castlewood High school are only allowed one school dance a year and that is homecoming. Why are we limited to that one experience a year? We understand that DJ costs maybe be high and something that stands in the way of having more then one dance but we are willing to go without a DJ.
Most of the us students have ipods and the North gym is equipped to play them. We also could get other students to work a concession stand if need be. And funds could go to getting supplies for other dances. Parents could chaperone these dances as well.
We, the undersigned, call on the Castlewood Administration to allow students to have more then just a homecoming school dance.
We understand the risks and concerns with having more dances. We have proposed some solutions to some of the concerns you may have.
