I have started this petition in the hopes that the City of Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation Department would strongly considering building another Disc Golf Course. I feel it is long past for the largest city in the state of South Dakota.
Another quality disc golf course should be constructed in one of our various parks as a public recreation option for the citizens of Sioux Falls who enjoy the sport. For professional players and casual players alike.
Many other local towns and cites in our state can lay claim to having multiple disc golf courses. Yankton has three, Brookings has three, Vermillion has two, Watertown has two, and so on and so on.
We need to provide another disc golf course as an outlet for the many people who enjoy the sport and to ease the congestion at the TutHill Disc Golf Course. We have the means to do this.
So let us make an attempt to be more competitive in the amount of disc golf courses offered.
We, the undersigned, request the City of Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation take reasonable steps to building another disc golf course for the citizens of Sioux Falls to enjoy for leisure and sport.
