Many of the single-glazed metal-framed doors and windows at the front of classrooms and in the main hall at Deeping St James Community Primary School were past their sell-by date when my daughters attended the school as pupils 25 years ago.

When my daughters returned as teachers ten years ago, they were already past their sell-by date and condensation was an issue.

Now the warped windows and doors are a real problem and urgently need replacing. They are ill-fitting, draughty - and woefully heat-inefficient.

We, the undersigned, call on Lincolnshire County Council to urgently replace the draughty, worn-out, single-glazed, heat-inefficient, windows and doors installed at Deeping St James Community Primary School almost 50 years ago in 1966, the year England won the World Cup.

Our children deserve better!
